DR800: It Begins.

Wednesday 27 May 2009 at 11:40 am I've had a busy weekend. An outing to Mosh in Derby on Saturday night, Sunday afternoon and all of Monday watching the British Superbike round at Donington. And every other waking moment from 3pm Friday to 8pm Monday spent in the garage working on the DR800. Heavyweight weigh-in

Thursday 21 May 2009 at 8:57 pm The DR800 is in for a busy few weeks of training, getting whipped into shape to be ridden down to the South of France in July (more on that later). Step one - find out how much it weighs in its current, fairly standard state. So earlier this evening I brought out the precision bike weighing equipment (a pair of cheap bathroom scales, courtesy of IKEA) and subjected DR BIG to a weigh-in. The result (with a full 25l tank of fuel on board):

Front: 100kg
Rear: 115kg
Total: 215kg

So now we've got a benchmark. Let the mods commence.
