HUMM2010 Teaser

Monday 16 August 2010 at 11:09 pm Those of you who know me and use Facebook will have seen the pictures already, but for those that don't, here's my favourite shot from this year's Horizons Unlimited Mountain Madness.

Tenere HUMM 2010

It was quite steep, and having stopped, I didn't manage to get moving again uphill. I've got a full writeup in the works, but you'll have to wait a little while for that.

Choppertastic

Monday 16 August 2010 at 9:52 pm I always enjoy reading about a good project - something with a bit of a story, involving some clever design or fabrication, and meticulous attention to detail. And despite (or possibly because) I spend my days designing and analysing things in the virtual world, validating and visualising things in precise detail long before any metal is ever cut; outside work I tend towards a more organic form of engineering. Making, offering up, modifying, refitting...not quite knowing at the start exactly how the finished 'product' will look. And although on one hand I appreciate the functional and the performance-enhancing, I've also got a soft spot for the eclectic, the 'for a laugh', and the 'because I can' - I am building a street tracker out of a CG125 after all.

This (push)bike is a project which is made of win on all counts:
